JEF AÉROSOL “OUTSIDE THE WALLS” 40 YEARS OF STENCILS

The year 2022 marks the 40th anniversary of Jef Aérosol's first stencil. On the occasion of this anniversary, the artist and the Mathgoth gallery have designed an extraordinary exhibition bringing together more than 300 original works. Jef Aérosol will invest opposite the François Mitterrand Library (Paris 13th), raw concrete premises over more than 600 M2. The exhibition will reflect on the one hand, the work of Jef Aérosol on a daily basis in the street, and will present on the other hand, the “workshop works”. Personal archives, videos, historical and recent works will give this event an essential retrospective character to celebrate and grasp the evolution of 40 years of stencils.
