PARIS+ par ART BASEL
Today, the announcement was made by Paris+ by Art Basel, unveiling the 154 premier galleries that will participate in their second edition. Exhibitors from 33 distinct countries and regions, 58 of which have an exhibition space in France, are set to display captivating solo, duo, and group showcases of artwork by both French and international artists. The artists range from the masters of the 20th century to emerging talents. This event will be held at the Grand Palais Éphémère from October 20 to 22, 2023.
Returning to the event from last year are 138 galleries. Featured in the fair's primary sector, Galeries, are:
• Galerie 1900-2000 (Paris), presenting works by historical figures of Surrealism
• Applicat-Prazan (Paris), exhibiting a solo booth of uncommon works by the French modernist painter, Jean Hélion
• A Gentil Carioca (Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo), offering a duo presentation of works by Brazilian Indigenous artist Denilson Baniwa and Afro-Brazilian painter Arjan Martins
• Andrew Edlin Gallery (New York), showcasing a dialogue between historic and modern outsider artists, including Paulina Peavy and Karla Knight
• Selma Feriani Gallery (Tunis, London), curating a selection of works by artists from the MENA region
• A collaborative booth between LambdaLambdaLambda (Pristina) and Hannah Hoffman (Los Angeles), displaying works by Nora Turato, Dominique Knowles, and Hana Miletić, among others
• Pace Gallery (New York, Geneva, Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles, Palm Beach, Seoul), facilitating a conversation between historic and contemporary works by artists from the gallery’s roster, including Jean Dubuffet, Torkwase Dyson, Loie Hollowell, and Agnes Martin
• Tornabuoni Art (Paris, Florence, Milan, Forte dei Marmi, Crans Montana, Rome), hosting a group presentation that highlights Postwar Italian masters.
