Abend Gallery is pleased to present Wings and Petals, a solo exhibition by Ifeoluwa Alade, on display starting on September 24th, 2022.
“The theme of the exhibition Wings and petals was figuratively used as wings represents butterflies and petals represents flowers. The concept discusses values, essence and benefits in relationships.
These body of works captured elements like flowers, butterflies, cowries, beads, series of portraits and figures. The idea illustrates a relationship that exists between a flower and a butterfly as it symbolically projects mutualism in relationships. Mutualism is an interaction between individuals of different species in which each benefits.”
