Harman Projects is thrilled to showcase Petites Luxures In NYC!, an exclusive exhibition from the renowned Parisian artist of the same name. This occasion marks the artist's premier solo collaboration with the gallery, following his previous solo showcase in New York City.

Petites Luxures, reminiscent of the influential Boudoir artists from 1900 to 1940 in France, brings a fresh perspective to a tradition laid down over a hundred years ago. Luxures skillfully intertwines innovative wordplay and deliberate mark-making to produce sophisticated and provocative illustrations. By navigating themes of intimacy and sexuality across diverse mediums, Luxures' distinctive style of playful art cleverly merges French and English phrases to uncover the humorous side of sensuality.

The artist's emblematic drawings are often characterized by black line depictions of sexual scenarios with strategically omitted portions that infuse varying degrees of abstraction into the work. This calculated omission encourages viewers to examine the artwork more attentively to comprehend the essence of the image fully.

Alongside the artist's famed minimalist drawings and paintings on paper, the extensive exhibition also presents several canvas paintings, three-dimensional collaged paintings housed in vintage domed glass frames, and a collection of sculptural pieces, further diversifying the artist's creative expression.
