Experience the enchanting world of "Shared Dreams," a captivating dual solo exhibition featuring the extraordinary talents of Peruvian artists Flor Padilla and Ronald Companoca in their inaugural US solo showcase at Haven Gallery. Flor Padilla:
Born in Lima in 1980, Flor Padilla embarked on a unique artistic journey. Initially pursuing Zootechnics at the National Agrarian University of La Molina, she later followed her passion, enrolling in the ENSABAP (National School of Fine Arts) in 2008. Graduating in 2013, Padilla dedicated herself to the world of art. Her creations act as portals, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in a realm of magic and fantasy. Through her works, she encourages us to rediscover the enchantment of childhood, reminding us that it is never too late to chase our dreams.
Ronald Companoca:
Hailing from Arequipa, Peru, Ronald Companoca, born in 1981, is a master of his craft. He graduated from the School of Arts at the National University of San Agustín in 2002, marking the beginning of a prolific artistic career. Companoca's art is a fusion of magical realism and surrealism, often featuring playful harlequins, conjurers, magicians, circus acts, and enigmatic characters set against mysterious, shadowy backgrounds, populated by an array of animals. His distinctive chiaroscuro technique, reminiscent of Rembrandt, utilizes a limited color palette, drawing viewers into a captivating world that begs exploration.
