Starting on the 6th of April, Maddox Gallery is excited to host an online exhibition titled "Do Androids Dream?" featuring the captivating works of American artist, Justin Bower. His paintings offer a stunning and bewildering exploration of the human condition, hinting at what could lie ahead in this era of rapid technological advancement, Artificial Intelligence, algorithms and hyper-surveillance.
The exhibition, Bower's first solo show with Maddox Gallery, showcases eight striking depictions of anonymous subjects, deconstructed and reborn as futuristic avatars or archetypes. Bower's fascination with the time of the Internet's birth is evident in the paintings, which embody a sense of apprehension and caution that accompany humankind's ever-increasing dependence on technology.
